Mohamed has advised on a number of corporate transactions, working with clients operating in the financial services, healthcare, hospitality, retail and consumer, and real estate sectors.
Mohamed graduated with a Master of Laws degree (LLM) from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne in 2018. He also holds two Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degrees: one from Cairo University in 2018, and another from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne in 2017.
Prior to joining Barakat, Maher & Partners in association with Clyde & Co, Mohamed worked at Baker McKenzie in Cairo and leading law firms in Egypt.
Mohamed is fluent in English, Arabic and French.

Corporate/M&A
- Advising the shareholders of a well-established bank in Egypt in selling 100 per cent of their shares to a Kuwaiti fund.*
- Advising a consortium of financial institutions in acquiring a leasing and micro-finance company in Egypt.*
- Advising a large UK pharmaceutical company in separating its pharmaceutical and cosmetics activities in Egypt (whilst on secondment at the client).*
- Advising a large Chinese house appliances company in establishing their business in Egypt and acquiring a plant.*
Capital markets
- Advising a large publicly owned bank in listing their shares of the EGX and conducting due diligence on the bank.*
- Advising a real estate company in Egypt in the issuance of securitisation bonds.*
