Will has advised a range of clients in respect of their property activities over his career his main focus being in relation to investment acquisitions and disposals and residential led mixed use development projects  His experience includes advising on purchasing and selling (both corporate and asset structured transactions), developing and managing investment properties; landlord and tenant matters, including retail and office premises; joint ventures and profit sharing arrangements and ground lease structures.

Experience
  • Advising Native Land in respect of the development and letting of a mixed-use residential and commercial development of some 1.2m sq ft at the former Ludgate House/Sampson House, Blackfriars site now known as Bankside Yards in London. We continue to assist with completing the various office pre-let arrangements that we have negotiated and are currently negotiating further office lettings for an 18-storey office building totalling 230,000 sq ft, above Bankside Yards’ historic railway arches. The building is the first net zero in operation office building in Central London.
  • Advising King's Lynn and West Norfolk Borough Council and ensuring fair financial return for all involved with the proposed structure of arrangements between 21 landowners to facilitate the bringing forward of development of the 192 hectare South East King’s Lynn Strategic Growth Area comprising circa 4,000 new homes.  
  • Acting for Premcor Estates and providing a seamless ‘cradle to grave’ service on all aspects of North Durham Retail Park, including site acquisition, planning and construction aspects.  We were subsequently instructed to document the pre-let arrangements, negotiate and settle the debt and forward sale arrangements and, following practical completion, the completion of the lettings and sale of the development. 
  • Advising on all aspects of the acquisition of Moulsecoomb Place, including property due diligence, the negotiation of transaction documents, agreement of anti embarrassment overage arrangements with the University and multiple funding options.  We have continued to assist in respect of meanwhile use arrangements and in supporting the planning application and associated arrangements.
  • Advising U + I Group Plc in relation to the delivery of one of Brighton’s biggest ever regeneration projects, including the disposal of parts of the site for development as student and (separately) residential accommodation whilst retaining the commercial units within the residential block and retaining and delivering a ground breaking co-working office and entrepreneurial hub building.
  • Advising Spelthorne Borough Council on a complex sale and leaseback acquisition of the BP Campus, Sunbury and a number of further significant investment transactions.  We continue to assist in respect of on-going estate management on each of these projects.
  • Advising on the acquisition, vacant possession strategy and subsequent redevelopment of a high profile residential building in St James's, London.
  • Advising a range of clients on their head office relocation projects including negotiation of dilapidation settlements and acquisition of new premises.
