Da-Shon Akelan Dixon is a member of the North American Financial Institutions and Directors & Officers (FIDO)/Professional Liability Practice Group at Clyde & Co, specializing in professional liability coverage counseling and litigation. His practice focuses primarily on litigating professional liability coverage disputes on behalf of insurers, including prosecuting declaratory judgment actions, actions to rescind insurance policies, defending breach of contract actions, and handling disputes involving bad faith and/or extra-contractual damages. Da-Shon also litigates actions between insurers to resolve allocation and relative priority issues.

In addition to his litigation work, Da-Shon provides domestic and international insurers with comprehensive advisory services throughout the claim resolution process. This includes delivering coverage opinions, advising on the allocation of indemnity payments, strategizing to mitigate the risk of bad faith and/or extra-contractual damages, and assisting with the collection of consent judgments. Da-Shon also has considerable experience serving as monitoring counsel for insurers.
