Steven Crocchi focuses his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, insurance, and appeals. Steven has successfully defended individuals, insurers, hotels, and various businesses in lawsuits involving claims of negligence, premises liability, breach of contract, and breach of the covenant of good faith and fair dealing ("bad faith"). In 2023, he obtained the complete dismissal of 10 cases brought against his clients through motion practice.
Beyond his litigation expertise, Steven evaluates complex coverage issues involving multi-party claims and provides coverage opinions for insurers. With his deep appeals experience, Steven handles appeals in both state and federal court on behalf of his clients, whether it involves defending a favorable ruling or verdict in the trial court or seeking to reverse an unfavorable outcome in the trial court.
Previously, Steven clerked for the Honorable Randall M. Howe at the Arizona Court of Appeals. In this role, he reviewed complex cases and wrote memorandum decisions and opinions upholding or reversing the judgment of the trial court.
Throughout his career, Steven has gained substantial trial experience. In law school, he conducted 32 trials while working as a limited-practice law student at various prosecutors' offices. As a result of this trial experience, Steven was the 2019 recipient of the Paul Holloway Trial Advocacy Award.
