Shiny Chhina is an associate with an insurance defence practice in civil and commercial litigation matters. She has represented clients before the Alberta Court of Justice and the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta.
Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Shiny was employed as in-house counsel at a transnational insurance company, where she handled personal injury matters, large fire losses, as well as subrogation, property and first-party claims matters. Her broad experience and dynamic client-focused approach gives her an excellent purview of working in close collaboration with insurers.
Sitting on the Young Lawyers Section’s Executive Committee of the Canadian Bar Association’s Alberta Branch (South), Shiny has been nominated Vice-Chair for the 2023-2024 year. In addition, she is fluent in Punjabi and has working proficiency in Hindi.
