Naomi Campbell is a Legal Director in our Belfast office, having joined us in 2021 with extensive experience in defence insurance litigation, having specialised in insurance claims since her qualification in Northern Ireland on 2006 and in England and Wales in 2009.
Naomi specialises in large loss catastrophic injury, clinical negligence, professional negligence, and property damage claims. She represents major global Insurers in claims involving housing associations, healthcare providers, construction companies, architects, insurance brokers, surveyors, engineers, and accountants. She frequently advises on substantive liability/quantum issues and on issues relating to disclosure and policy compliance.
Naomi is part of our Leadership Team in Northern Ireland with responsibility for the Derry and Belfast offices, and acts as the lead for Housing Association claims in Northern Ireland.
As a valued expert in her field, Naomi has been involved in various significant high profile cases and also provides seminars, mentoring and training both internally to colleagues and to external insurer/broker clients.
Experience
- Representing insurers in the defence of the largest catastrophic claim to date in Northern Ireland relating to a paraplegic cyclist.
- Dealing with the defence of various clinical negligence claims arising from cosmetic treatments.
- Representing Insurers in the defence of a claim relating to alleged health sequelae of Covid vaccinations.
- Acting for various Housing Associations in respect of tenant claims.
- Representing Insurers in the defence of claims relating to construction disputes.
- Acting for care homes in the defence of claims relating to allegedly negligence patient care.
