Catríona trained at Clyde & Co and is an Associate in the Regulatory & Investigations team in London. 

She advises insurers, financial institutions and others on sanctions compliance, regulatory matters, and cyber coverage issues. Catríona is also part of the firm’s Climate Risk practice group, through which she advises clients on issues surrounding the transition to net zero.

Catríona has extensive in-house experience, having spent time as Legal Counsel within the Financial Crime and Sanctions team of a large global insurer.

Experience

• Advising on the UK/EU sanctions and financial crime risks associated with ransomware payments
• Assisting with a voluntary disclosure and remediation steps in respect of certain governance related systems and controls failures
• Acting for a broker in investigations into alleged anti-competitive conduct in the aviation insurance broking sector
• Providing advice on the application of war exclusions to cyber attacks
• Advising a client on potential greenwashing liability
