Nada's experience includes streamlining contracting and procurement processes, the creation of contract templates, drafting and negotiating contracts, as well as post-contract issue management and claim settlements in construction and project-based contracts.

Nada is licensed to practice in Saudi Arabia. Nada’s qualifications include an LLB (Hons) from Nottingham Trent University, an LLM in International and Commercial Dispute Resolution from the University of Westminster and a certificate in Contract and Commercial Management from the World Commerce & Contracting Association (previous known as IACCM).

Nada works in both Arabic and English languages

Experience

Transactional experience:

  • Acting for multiple Saudi government and semi-government entities in relation to the procurement and delivery of various projects across a range of asset types.
  • Acting for multiple local and international contractors bidding on Saudi government and semi-government projects.
  • Managed the construction and project contracting practice within the legal department at two Saudi government projects contributing to Vision 2030. As well as develop contracting strategies and the necessary documents for execution of the projects.
  • Managed, developed, and standardized a suite of contract templates (+15) for the benefit of various stakeholders contributing to Vision 2030.
  • Managed and developed contracting procedures, claims procedures and disputes procedures for two development projects that contribute to Vision 2030. This also included a specific response strategy to notices received due to Covid-19 pandemic.

Contentious experience:

  • Assisting a Saudi mining company in a dispute through the ICC arbitration proceedings involving multiple claims and counterclaims, relating to the construction of a sulphuric acid plant and associated power plant.
  • Advising an international EPC contractor on multiple claims and counterclaims, relating to the design of an entertainment destination in Saudi Arabia.
  • Advising and assisting a contractor on multiple claims under a concession agreement relating to the operation and handling of ports and containers in Saudi Arabia.
  • Advising clients on various claims with a target of settlement and support them in drafting and negotiating the settlement agreements.
