Lena Boczkaja is an attorney-at-law, counsel in Clyde & Co Warsaw office and a member of the Energy Team with over 9 years’ experience in energy sector. She specialises in comprehensive advisory for energy sector companies, including in the renewable energy sources (RES) sector. 

She uniquely combines her knowledge of investment processes with practical experience in real estate law, as well as construction and contractual issues. She oversees and manages due diligence reviews, for wind farm projects, solar farms and battery storage facilities, notably in regard to financing and M&A deals. Lena is equally adept at helping clients in the domestic and EU markets.

She advises corporations on market strategies, with particular focus on regulatory issues. She produces analyses and opinions on energy and civil law. Lena also advises on project finance, negotiates terms and conditions of financing for RES projects, and supports investors in contractual issues connected with the construction of RES facilities, project development and the sale of shares in project companies.

  • Goldenpeaks Capital Services Ltd - conducting due diligence and advising in connection with the acquisition of several portfolios of photovoltaic projects with a total capacity of more than 1 GW.
  • Banco Santander, Santander Bank Polska, EIB, CaixaBank and EKF, Denmark’s Export Credit Agency - advising on PLN 674 million financing of six wind farms developed by EDP Renewables for the development, construction and operation of six wind farms with a total capacity of approximately 150 MW.
  • Cero Generation Services Limited (Macquire Group) - advising on the acquisition of three project companies developing energy storage projects with an aggregate capacity of 1.5GW.
  • [Confidential Client] - advising on potential entry into the Polish offshore wind market through a JV partnership with an international energy project developer with a presence in Poland.
  • Qair Polska - advising on €105 million financing of the construction of a hybrid wind/solar portfolio (four wind and 29 photovoltaic power plants) with a total capacity of 106 MW.
  • CEE Equity Partners - advising on the negotiation and drafting of transaction documentation prior to the planned acquisition of a 50% stake in 2 project companies involved in the construction of photovoltaic power plants and energy storage.
