Julien Brunelle-Désilets

Julien is an experienced attorney specializing in the management of complex litigation matters across construction, professional liability, and financial risks in North America. He primarily serves London-based insurers, focusing on risk assessments, exposure and reserves evaluations, monitoring of local defence counsels, and strategic recommendations for effective claims handling. Julien acts as manager for the entire portfolio of claims and circumstances for some of the largest national and international law firms, as well as for large Canadian engineering and architecture firms with a global presence. Over the past five years, he has attended more than 40 mediations involving large and catastrophic losses across the United States and Canada, further enhancing his ability to manage high-stakes cases effectively.

In addition to his litigation expertise, Julien offers insightful coverage advice on professional liability policies and a variety of other insurance products, ensuring clients navigate their risks with confidence. 

Before joining the Clyde & Co team, Julien honed his skills in the litigation department of another international law firm. He graduated with distinction from the University of Ottawa, where he participated in a student exchange program with Lund University in Sweden and served as a research assistant at the Supreme Court of Canada.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Julien is an avid traveler and road runner, always on the lookout for his next adventure.
