Marie Atkinson is a Legal Director in our catastrophic injury team. She specialises in defending high-value motor and casualty claims. Her caseload varies and includes public liability, employers’ liability and motor liability.

She represents several leading insurance companies, advising on litigated and non-litigated matters. Her specialities include fatal accidents, brain injuries and cases with multiple defendants.

Marie is a member of our Court of Protection (CP) subject matter group. She has extensive experience advising on mental capacity, deputyship and police prosecution powers. 

Marie has a keen interest in policy issues, particularly where employers’ and public liability overlap. She is the assistant head of our policy indemnity unit.
