Agustín Alcalde is a Senior Associate in the Santiago de Chile office and has substantial experience counselling in labour matters, as well as in representing diverse companies in matters of labour relationships and dispute resolution. Mr. Alcalde participates in the preparation of strategies and courses of action related to complex labour matters, whether judicial or not, minimizing the associated contingencies.

Prior to joining Clyde & Co, and while studying his Master in Australia, he held the position of Employment Law Advisor at Alster Legal. Prior to this, he worked as an Associate at Guerrero Olivos, a domestic law firm.

Agustín has specialized in labour law, advising important national and multinational companies, with an important staffing and from the most diverse areas, and he has been involved in corporate labour consulting (Day-To-Day Advice) from a preventive point of view for a significant number of companies, focusing on responding to short and long-term contingencies, developing strategic solutions, responding to daily tasks of companies and acting as an internal element for the Human Resources Department of their clients. He also specializes in designing the corporate-labour structure of various multinational companies that have established themselves in Chile, in order to comply with the Chilean legislation. Likewise, he participates in Due Diligence processes, both, internal to companies and as part of purchasing processes.

Additionally, Agustín provides immigration law counseling and he teaches Labour Law as Assistant Professor, at Universidad Finis Terrae.
