Jurisdiction-specific advice across the continent

Africa is poised to be a driving force of global growth over the next 30 years. With its wealth of natural resources, rapid economic expansion, growing political stability, and a thriving entrepreneurial landscape, the continent presents investment opportunities for both local and international businesses.

Over the past decade, record-high domestic and cross-border transactions, along with a surge in African-led acquisitions and the growth of Africa-focused and Africa-based private equity funds, have transformed the continent's business landscape. Regulators are introducing new frameworks to align with international best practices, ensuring a more dynamic and globally competitive market.

With over two decades of experience, our multi-jurisdictional team has advised clients across more than 50 African markets. Our team provides both local and cross-border legal services, helping businesses navigate the legal, regulatory, and commercial landscape of investing and operating across Africa.

Clients benefit from the support of over 130 legal professionals based in seven offices across South, West, East, Central, and North Africa. In addition, our Africa-focused specialists in London, Paris, and Dubai provide tailored guidance for investments in both Anglophone and Francophone jurisdictions.

In jurisdictions where we do not have a physical presence, we work closely with a trusted network of local counsel. These long-standing relationships enable us to deliver in-depth, jurisdiction-specific advice through designated legal representatives or corresponding counsel—ensuring clients benefit from deep, on-the-ground knowledge across the continent.
