A Clyde & Co Aviation team from our Hamburg and Cape Town office has contributed to the 2023 edition of the Thomson Reuters, Practical Law, Aviation Finance Global guide.

Partner Tim Schommer and of counsel Claudia Becker from our Hamburg office together with Cape Town-based associate Bastian Pöhler have authored the German chapter to the 2023 edition of Thomson Reuters Practical Law’s Aviation Finance.

Their contribution includes an overview of applicable aviation regulations; financing options for purchasing aircraft; transfer of title; security, including aircraft mortgages; transfer of security; enforcement of security and repossession; deregistration and discharge; application of the Cape Town Convention; liability for the operations of the aircraft and actions of the operator; and reform and recent developments.
