A new PIDR will take effect in Scotland and NI on Friday 27th September, following a 90-day review by the Government Actuary under the terms of the respective Acts.

We invite you to an online briefing to take stock of the outcome of the review of the Personal Injury Discount Rate (PIDR) in Scotland and Northern Ireland and of the potential implications of the new rate.

This session will feature a panel of experts from across our UK Casualty practice group. We’ll present our first impressions of the key points underpinning the new PIDR and consider the possible impact on claims reserves in Scotland and NI. We will also reflect on what these developments might mean for the ongoing and entirely separate review of the PIDR in England & Wales.
