Overview

We welcome Desiree Fixler to join Rachel Cropper-Mawer (Regulatory), Nigel Brook (Insurance) and Charles Urquhart (Employment) for a panel discussion on Sustainability Reporting, Greenwashing and Whistleblowing.

Desiree is recognized as an advocate for change and impact in the practice of ESG investing and sustainability. She works as a senior advisor to financial institutions, is a member of the U.K’s Financial Conduct Authority’s ESG Advisory Committee and is the Chair of the Board of VentureESG. Desiree provides expert insight on topics including ESG, the prevention of greenwashing, whistleblowing and crisis management.

More and more companies around the world are being required to report on sustainability. And this isn’t confined to the regulated sector – it increasingly applies to companies in other sectors that are listed or are over a certain size. Regulators are becoming more interventionist. And then there is a range of other stakeholders such as investors, employees, media, activists and the public, each with their own expectations and priorities for the company’s sustainability performance and longer-term goals. Balancing these various requirements and pressures can be challenging.
