Clyde & Co strengthens UK healthcare practice with hire of Anthea Lane

Global law firm, Clyde & Co has announced the appointment of medical negligence specialist Anthea Lane as a Partner, where she will be heading up a new Healthcare practice in Southampton.

Anthea brings more than 20 years’ experience in defending and managing clinical negligence matters on behalf of the NHS, as well as medical defence organisations. She joins from DAC Beachcroft where she has been employed since 2001, having been promoted to Senior Associate in 2010, and Partner in 2016.

Anthea brings with her an impressive reputation within the industry, having been recognised in Legal 500 as ‘a next generation partner’. Amidst her wealth of experience, she has particular expertise in complex birth and neonatal injury cases, as well as claims arising from spinal and surgical neuro injuries. She is heavily invested in nurturing the next generation of legal talent, having spent the past four years as Training Principal for DAC Beachcroft.

Working alongside Anthea in the new Healthcare team in Southampton are Senior Associates, Bryony Steele, Dominic Sansom and Sebastien Kelly who also join from DAC Beachcroft.
