Clyde & Co continues to expand with new corporate & advisory partner appointment, Mohamed Barakat

Global law firm Clyde & Co has today announced the hire of leading corporate and M&A lawyer Mohamed Barakat as a Partner in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region and its global corporate & advisory practice.

Mohamed is a highly regarded US-qualified lawyer with more than 17 years of experience working in the United States (Chicago and Washington, DC) and the Middle East (Egypt and Saudi Arabia). He is a leading corporate lawyer with a deep understanding of the region and advises clients on complex M&A and restructuring transactions in the energy, financial services, infrastructure and real estate sectors.

Mohamed’s appointment aligns with Clyde & Co’s strategic expansion of its Corporate & Advisory practice globally and in the Middle East and Africa. In the last 12 months, the firm has bolstered its 19-strong MEA corporate partner group with the hire of Chadi Salloum (Dubai) and Gasant Orrie (Cape Town), and the promotion to partner of Roshanak Bassiri Gharb (Dubai).
