Global law firm Clyde & Co has today announced plans to open three new offices across the Southwestern United States region, in Phoenix, Arizona, Denver, Colorado and Las Vegas, Nevada, with the hire of leading insurance partner Amy Samberg and her team.
The opening of the offices continues Clyde & Co’s long term strategy to create a truly national US insurance practice by providing it with a leading presence in a rapidly growing region of the country and by further enhancing its national first party insurance practice.
Amy Samberg joins from Foran Glennon Palandech Ponzi & Rudloff. Amy and her team advise insurers on coverage and bad faith matters across multiple business lines, including general, professional and financial, with a particular strength in first party property. Amy has also extensively litigated and tried bad faith and coverage suits in courts throughout the Southwest.
Amy brings with her six Senior Counsel, including Amy Stein (Phoenix), Jeri Wettestad, Kevin Hoskins and Tamara Jordan (Denver), Dylan Todd (Las Vegas), Jefferson Patten (based in Clyde & Co’s Chicago office) and several associates and staff who together comprise a market-leading insurance team in the region.
The openings reinforce Clyde & Co’s position as a preeminent insurance firm in the US adding to its nine existing offices there having first opened in New York in 2006. The firm has offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New Jersey, New York, Orange County, San Francisco and Washington DC.
The opening of these three offices represents a significant step in our aim to build the leading national US insurance practice. We have long sought a presence in this growing region to ensure we can serve our clients where they need us and with Amy and her team we’re confident we’re bringing on board the best insurance team in the region
Matthew Kelsall, Clyde & Co’s Chief Executive Officer

Carolena Gordon, Chair of Clyde & Co’s North American Board
Opening in the Southwest provides us with enhanced strength in what is a key growth market for the insurance industry and many of our largest insurance clients. From a national perspective, Amy and her team’s practice complements the existing insurance expertise we have across the US. We welcome them to Clyde & Co.”

I am looking forward to driving this next phase of their growth story and heading up the firm’s Southwest regional push.”
Amy Samberg
