Joan D’Ambrosio concentrates her practice on representing insurers in respect of technology and media errors and omissions claims, including matters involving intellectual property issues, as well as data security and privacy breaches. For more than twenty years, she also has counseled insurers and their insureds in professional liability matters of all types, including claims and risk management issues involving lawyers, architects, engineers and miscellaneous errors and omissions risks. Joan’s practice encompasses all aspects of insurance coverage evaluation, risk management and mitigation, and litigation management.

Joan has been active in working with insurers in the development of manuscripted insurance coverages, as well as developing and implementing risk management solutions for insurers, brokers and professionals. She has conducted pre-underwriting and post-underwriting claims and underwriting operations reviews for insurers.

At various times over the past twenty years, Joan was seconded to two Lloyd’s syndicates in London for extended periods where she worked directly with the syndicates’ specialty insurance teams on claims and underwriting issues involving insurance and reinsurance policies and programs in North America and internationally.
